THE BEAUTY EDIT
ROSACEA, REDNESS
& SENSITIVITY
Flushing, persistent redness and sensitivity can make it difficult to know what your skin needs. At The Beauty Edit, we start by understanding your symptoms, possible triggers and current routine before recommending suitable care.
ROSACEA, REDNESS
& SKIN SENSITIVITY
Rosacea is a long-term inflammatory condition that commonly affects the central face. It can involve flushing, persistent redness, visible blood vessels and acne-like bumps, often alongside burning, stinging or sensitivity.
Its cause is complex, involving factors such as genetics, immune activity and changes in how the skin’s blood vessels respond. Sun exposure, heat, stress, alcohol and spicy foods can trigger symptoms in some people, although triggers vary. Harsh skincare and excessive exfoliation may also aggravate sensitive skin.
Not all facial redness is rosacea. Irritation, dermatitis and other conditions can look similar, making assessment important. At The Beauty Edit, we focus on appropriate skin support and recommend medical care where needed.

Rosacea may cause flushing, persistent redness across the cheeks and nose, fine visible vessels or inflamed bumps. Skin can feel warm, sensitive, dry or uncomfortable.
In deeper skin tones, redness may be less obvious and can appear as darker or violet colour changes. Rosacea can also affect the eyes; irritation, gritty eyes or swollen eyelids should be discussed with a doctor.
-
We review your symptoms, medical history, known triggers, skincare and any existing diagnosis or prescribed treatment. If rosacea is suspected but unconfirmed, we may recommend assessment by our in-house doctor or a dermatologist.
Your plan focuses on gentle skincare, sun protection and suitable clinic care. We avoid assuming that more intensive treatment is better, particularly when your skin is irritated or experiencing a flare.

Our treatment options support different concerns associated with rosacea, facial redness and skin sensitivity. On your skin journey, we may look at treatments and homecare that target redness, facial flushing and sensitivity. Following a thorough consultation, we’ll recommend suitable options and explain how they fit into your personalised plan.
Your program will often begin with a recommended Lira Clinical Core Four skincare routine. Consistent homecare forms the foundation of your plan, supporting your skin between appointments and helping prepare it for more advanced corrective peels where appropriate. What you do at home plays an important role in your progress, with in-clinic treatments providing targeted support.
Depending on your skin’s needs, your plan may include a combination of Lira Clinical corrective peels, skin needling, Sylfirm X RF microneedling, Laser Genesis, and/or LED light therapy.
