Every treatment at The Beauty Edit in Brisbane begins with a comprehensive skin consultation. We start by capturing standard and advanced skin analysis images using our professional skin scanner, allowing us to gain a deeper understanding of your skin’s condition beneath the surface.

Our dermal clinicians will discuss your results in detail, explore your skin goals, and identify any specific concerns. From there, we’ll create a tailored treatment plan designed specifically for your skin needs and desired outcomes.

Each of our corrective skin treatments includes:

• Our signature double cleanse

• A customised treatment

• Tailored finishing products to soothe and protect the skin

Before you leave, your clinician will review your personalised treatment plan and help you schedule your next visit to ensure continued results.

Pre & post care following your Lira Clinical Correct Peel treatment at The Beauty Edit will vary from person to person. You can find a general list of our pre & post care:

Before your treatment:

• No prescription strength Vitamin A or Vitamin A Formulations from a brand outside of what your Skin Care Professional has prescribed for a minimum 7 days prior to treatment. The exception is LIRA CLINICAL Vitamin A Formulations - which are to be ceased at 48 hours minimum before treatment.

• If you have had any Hydroquinone applied, you cannot have a Lira Clinical Peel for a minimum of 12 weeks post finishing use.

• Discontinue any use of pharmaceutical actives, such as Benzoyl Peroxide, AHA/BHA Products, Retinols and Retinol based products for 7 days prior. Your Skincare Professional will guide you as to what is safe when using Lira Clinical Skincare.

• No at-home Exfoliations, Skin Needling or Microdermabrasion, for a minimum of 7 days prior to treatment, 14 days preferred.

• No Professional Treatments such as Chemical Peels, Facials, Laser Treatments, Microdermabrasion or Intensive Resurfacing Procedures to be performed for a minimum of 2 weeks prior to a Lira Clinical Professional Peel.

• No professional Skin Needling for 4 weeks prior to a Lira Clinical Peel.

• At-home Skin Needling cannot be performed 2 weeks prior.

• Any Dermaplaning, Waxing, Laser Hair Removal (in clinic or at home), Bleaching not to be performed 48 hours prior to treatment.

• No unprotected sun exposure prior to treatment. Any sunburnt skin cannot have treatment.

After your treatment:

• No Vitamin A Formulations are to be used for a minimum of 7-10 days post peel. Your Skincare Professional will outline your designated time as to when you can introduce Vitamin A again.

• No Exfoliation or Mask Products, Active Pharmaceutical Products, or Actives (including SPF) outside of Lira Clinical prescribed by your Skincare Professional can be used for 7-10 days. Using unapproved formulations can cause unexpected outcomes, which the clinic or DSANZ will not be liable for.

Post Peel:

• Use only the prescribed Lira Clinical Formulations from your Skincare Professional, both morning and evening, for 7-10 days:

• Mystiq iLuminating Cleanser, Pro Lite and or Pro Brite Serum, Bio Hydra C Serum, Mystiq Infused C, Mystiq iLuminating Beauty Oil, Health Recovery Balm, Solar Shield SPF.

• Your Skincare Professional will decide as to what your time frame is for this homecare period and may alter the homecare products accordingly.

• Avoid unprotected sun exposure or sitting outside for prolonged periods of time in direct sunlight while the skin is responding to treatment. It is strongly advised to use Lira Clinical PF.

• Avoid swimming in chlorine, salt water, the beach, surfing or water activities for 7-10 days.

• Avoid saunas and spas or heat-based therapies. Your Skincare Professional will inform you when you can resume according to the treatment performed.

• An approved at-home LED Mask can be used from day 3 post peel. Your Skin Care Professional will advise how many sessions to do at home and when. In-clinic LED may also be required.

• Avoid strenuous exercise, heavy gym sessions, hot yoga for 24-48 hours minimum. Light exercise is advised if you need to train. Depending on the treatment performed, sweat pimples may appear and get trapped. Wiping the skin aggressively with a towel to remove sweat will aggravate the skin and cause unexpected outcomes. Walking is fine, if outdoors please be super protective with SPF and a hat and aware of the time of day in which you choose to walk.

• No picking and playing with the detaching skin. Let the peel do what it needs to. Picking the skin off sooner can result in Post Inflammatory Hyper Pigmentation (PIHP) or scarring, which your Skin Care Professional is not liable for. When the skin is wet, it is easier for it to come away. Don’t pull at it whilst wet. PIHP and scarring can occur. It is advised to use a skin Shammy during this time.
